The Fountain 2000 Bandsaw is a 100% Australian made product which takes the hard work out of cutting through meat and bone during the butchering process. It is a proper meat bandsaw, specifically designed for portability and ease of use in home and on-farm environments.
It's sturdy die-cast aluminium frame means it will never warp or twist, which is a problem that can beset cheaper saws made with flimsier materials. This is a crucial problem to avoid, as it can result in the saw 'throwing' blades, thus rendering it unsafe and useless.
Other features include a 3/4 horsepower enclosed motor, simple blade adjustment, lift-off fibreglass door, removable polyurethane meat tray, and adjustable cutting guide.
When purchasing a meat bandsaw, be careful to avoid cheap saws which have primarily been designed to cut wood, not meat. These are extremely difficult to clean and to replace blades. Some saws require dozens of bolts to be removed in order to get to every nook and cranny and allow proper cleaning to take place. If your saw cannot be kept clean, the smell of decaying bone and meat particles will make you regret the decision to by a cheap saw!
