The Fischer TS-17 honing steel is designed to be used handle up with the tip of the shaft resting on a level surface such as a table or cutting bench. The heel of the knife blade is then placed hard against the 20 degree
honing guide and drawn down towards the table or cutting bench. ( while maintaining the same 20 degree angle ).
The Fischer TS-17 trains the user to maintain the perfect honing angle on every stroke.
An octagonal HACCP approved handle provides comfort and grip. The oval shaft initiates more contact with the knife blade increasing honing efficiency.
As with the entire Fischer range, these steels are produced under strict quality control at Fischer's modern factory in Thiers, France.
